Meet Our Dentists

Dr Nikka – Associate Dentist
Dr Nikka moved from Busselton, a coastal country town south of Perth last year, to be closer to her family including her brother Dr Frank (some good ol’ nepotism hehe)! She graduated from Sydney University with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018.
Since then she has been practising in Western Australia where she has developed a keen interest in all aspects of general dentistry including oral surgery, paediatrics and endodontics. She loves to have a good chat and is eager to explore more of Victoria.
Dr Tina Son – Associate Dentist
Dr Tina was born and raised in Korea, and moved to South Australia to complete her final years of high school. After finishing her Dental degree at the University of Adelaide in 2009 Tina worked at two private practices in South Australia, and completed her Invisalign course before moving to Singapore for 4 years.
Whilst living in Singapore she did further education in oral surgery and implants, but her main passion is the day-to-day of general dentistry, particularly with anxious patients. Dr Tina spends her free time with her rescue greyhound Charlie and enjoys cooking for her friends and loved ones.
Her extensive knowledge and experience in dentistry, combined with her bright and positive personality make her an asset to our team and well loved dentist for all of her patients.

Dr Lucy Zia – Associate Dentist
Dr Lucy was born in Melbourne, but grew up on the far north coast of New South Wales. From a young age, Lucy enjoyed going to the dentist, and learnt from her childhood dentist the importance of oral health.
After a year living in London, Lucy moved to Melbourne and completed her Bachelor of Science and then Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne. Lucy has been working with us at Abbotsford Dental Clinic and Stanley Street Dental in many different capacities since we opened and thoroughly enjoys all aspects of dentistry.
Lucy is particularly passionate about patient education and relationships, valuing quality over speed in all aspects of her professional interactions. Lucy spends her free time cooking with her husband, and is hoping to travel as much as possible over the next few years before starting a family.
Dr Sascha Venske-Parker
Dr Sascha Venske-Parker completed a Bachelor of Science followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Western Australia. She has worked in both city and rural locations across WA, including Perth, Karratha and Exmouth, and is now excited to call Melbourne home.
Sascha believes visiting the dentist should be a comfortable experience, and strives to provide gentle high-quality treatment to her patients. She is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, with a specific interest in preventative care, minimally-invasive ceramic restorations, and managing dental anxiety.
In her spare time, Sascha enjoys keeping busy with pilates, dancing, walking her dog, and socialising with friends and family.

Dr Gabby Tam – Associate Dentist
Dr Gabrielle grew up in Melbourne before relocating to Sydney to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2018. Since graduation, she has worked in a combination of private and public clinics in rural New South Wales as well as regional and metropolitan Victoria.
Her calm and friendly personality, along with loving a good chat; helps her work with children, and patients who are dentally anxious. She understands that a dental clinic can be intimidating and tries to alleviate any fears. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a particular interest in paediatrics, and oral surgery.
Outside of dentistry, Gabrielle can be found hunting down a good cup of coffee, travelling the world, or otherwise can be found with her husband, pampering their dog, Maverick.
Dr Frank Nikakhtar – Principal Dentist
Frank is the principal dentist and founder of Abbotsford Dental and Stanley Street Dental. Frank has developed a loyal patient base over the years due to his attention to detail and good sense of humour. Frank enjoys all elements of general dentistry but has a particular passion for smile makeovers and Invisalign.
In 2013, Frank experienced a cancer scare; the silver lining, however, was the way he adopted a holistic and minimally invasive approach to all of his patients and treats them as people, not just teeth.
Frank grew up in Perth and graduated from the University of Western Australia. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, travelling, playing basketball, and trying his hand as an amateur chef.
